Environment Canada has just issued a warning for snowfall in Montreal starting today and continuing into New Year's Eve. Montreal and several other regions across Southern Quebec can expect to see up to 25cm of snow. Take a look at the forecasts below. Well, we may not have had a white Christmas here in Montreal, but you had to know that wasn't going to last long. And if you're someone who has been wondering when it was finally going to snow in Montreal again - you're in luck. Environment Canada has just issued a snowfall warning for the Metro Montreal area, along with several other regions in Southern Quebec where there will also be a dump of snow. Not only is it supposed to snow today, but we can apparently also expect to see the snow continue into tomorrow. Environment Canada is anticipating that Montreal will get anywhere from 15 to 25 centimetres of snow throughout today and tomorrow, meaning the New Year's Eve commute could get pretty interesting. Several regions in Southern Quebec are also dealing with that nasty ongoing Freezing rain warning. Others are under a "Special weather statement" due to winds that will cause blowing snow, which can significantly reduce visibility.
