This is Why You Should Visit Morocco 🇲🇦 | From Marrakech To The Sahara Desert And Ait Ben Haddou

Join us on an unforgettable journey through the sun-kissed landscapes and vibrant cultures of South Morocco! Morocco is famous for a variety of reasons, including its rich history, diverse culture, and stunning landscapes. In this video you will enter the deepest and most real Morocco. You will be able to see famous places but at the same time preserved in an incredible way. And of course, you will see the impressive Sahara desert. So make yourself comfortable, grab something to drink and keep watching! We stayed in a Riad. Riads in Marrakech are traditional houses or palaces that have been converted into guesthouses and hotels. These unique architectural structures are characterized by their distinctive design. After breakfast, we headed to the souk. The souks of Marrakech are a vibrant and bustling part of the city's culture and economy. Located within the ancient medina, these traditional markets are a maze of narrow alleys filled with shops, stalls, and artisans. You can find handmade crafts, spices and herbs, jewelry and many accessories. We arrived at Jemaa el Fna, which is a vibrant public square and marketplace located in the heart of Marrakech. The square serves as a cultural epicenter and has been declared a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity. It reflects the traditions of oral history, storytelling, and various performances. You will see many men with snakes who will put them directly on your neck in exchange for some coins. Here I had a mix of feelings because even though they told me that the monkeys were very well treated, I had some doubts. If you know anything about this, please let me know in the comments below. People in Morocco are very welcoming and warm. This old man carried water in a container that kept it cool and served it in metal glasses. He makes a living from tips and you can see how he is really happy and gives everyone a heartfelt smile. After visiting Marrakech, we rented a car and began our route towards the desert. To get there you have to cross the mountains called Atlas. Here we were at an altitude of 2,000 meters and we were able to see these sheep and we also bought some sweets that the people in the mountains were selling. Our next stop was Ait Ben Haddou. Ait Ben Haddou is a traditional village that is famous for its adobe architecture. This place served as an important stop along the ancient route that connected the Sahara Desert with Marrakech and other cities. The village is a prime example of Moroccan earthen clay architecture and reflects the traditional way of life in the area. The buildings are made from a mixture of clay, straw, and water, which provides excellent insulation. Many famous movies and series have been filmed in this place, such as Game of Thrones, The Mummy or Prince of Persia. After this long day we continued driving towards the Sahara desert. We stopped in a town to eat and it was very funny how the waiter wrote down the bill on the table itself. The road was quite hard and after almost 6 hours we finally arrived. The hotel was quite simple but very clean. The next morning the first thing I did was run to see the views. Guys, I'm not lying to you if I tell you that this image is going to stay in my mind forever. I was seeing the beginning of the Sahara Desert and each dune looked like a painting. Our entire trip was worth it for these incredible views. Merzouga is a popular destination located near the edge of the Sahara Desert. Known for its stunning dunes, Merzouga is a key gateway for visitors seeking to experience the beauty of the Sahara. We were able to enjoy a wonderful breakfast and began our day still amazed by the beauty of this place. Thank you very much for watching guys, and don’t forget to subscribe to see the next part!
