The Art of Heat: pictures from heat and thermal paper

Here we show how to make copies of engraved wood by rubbing and creating a picture via frictional heating. You can make images of natural objects too, like leaves or rock, anything with raised ridges of some kind. We then move on to a 'collage' of objects in front of the thermal paper, which is then activated with a hair drier. You can make artistic collages as well as words, as shown here. There are many other ways to make Art from the Science of Heat, for example by imprinting hot objects, more than 100 degrees, onto the paper.
