One of many green bridges on the project..HS2's 'Green Corridor' to mitigate the effects of building the new railway line. I believe there are 5 green bridges in this vicinity alone, if i'm not mistaken!! Edit: the bridge is wide here ( 6 track) to allow for passive provision (if/when) for Aylesbury link as part of East West Rail project, plus 2 tracks for Greatmoor sidings. The footage is just south of Calvert in Buckinghamshire, at Sheephouse Wood (SSSI) UK. Several green bridges are in the process of being constructed here , where the line changes from the Calvert cutting (2nd longest on the railway line at 3.4km) to Grendon Underwood embankment.. Video footage mainly covers GU embankment. Will try to update the numerous structures/names but the 'completed' green bridge near Greatmoor power station is GUN/28 AFAIK. At 2.52 Greatmoor culvert, 3.50 we see culvert(left), footpath underbridge (right) under construction.. at 4.26 & 5.02 Bat mitigation structure..?? The main concrete structure along the length of Sheephouse Wood is some kind of barrier to... HS2 is the UK's newest high speed railway linking London to Birmingham and the north.
