So let’s watch how to make Lau Diye Chingri Macher curry and try it at home. Ingredients of Lau Chingri: 1. Fine chopped Bottle gourd / Lau (500 gm). 2. Prawn/ Chingri mach (200 gm). 3. Ginger paste (2 tsp). 4. Turmeric powder (1 tsp). 5. Red chilli powder (¼ tsp). 6. Cumin powder (½ tsp). 7. 1 Bay leaf. 8. Slitted green chilli (4 no). 9. Cumin seeds (½ tsp). 10. Sugar (as per your taste). 11. Salt (as per your taste). 12. Ghee (1 ghee ). 13. Mustard oil (4 tbsp).. Methods of How to cook Lau Chingri Recipe: 1. Marinate the prawns with very little amount of turmeric powder and salt. 2. Take a bowl. Add ½ tsp of turmeric powder, ½ tsp of cumin powder, ¼ tsp of red chilli powder, 2 tsp ginger paste, ¼ tsp salt and 1 tsp sugar. 3. Add some water and make smooth paste. 4. Add 4 tbsp of Mustard oil in hot pan. 5. Fry the prawns very well. Keep aside. 6. Add ¼ tsp cumin seeds, and 1 bay leaf. Fry for 10 to 15 sec. 7. Add masala paste. Fry it for 1 min in medium flame. 8. Add slitted green chilli and fried prawns. Mixed it well. Fry for 1 min in medium flame. 9. Add fine chopped bottle gourd. Mixed it well. 10. Now cook in high flame for 2 min. 11. Add 1 cup water. When boiling close the lid for 15 min. Cook in medium flame. 12. After 15 min taste it. Add more salt and sugar if required. 13. Now cook in high flame for 1 min. Add ½ tsp garam masala powder and 1 tsp ghee. Mixed it well. 14. Put off your gas oven. Close the lid for 5 min. 15. After 5 min serve hot lau chingri with hot steamed rice, roti luchi, or paratha.
