In this video I show how to prune root over rock bonsai and bonsai maintenance. I try to make this bonsai like a tree in the mountain. I chose china bot tree for root over rock style bonsai, china bot is low maintenance and hardy plant and this tree is perfect for that kind of bonsai. This ficus tree have one big branch almost laying down the top soil of the pot, some arial root coming from the trunk and going towards the soil. The rock like a mountain in this bonsai where the tree planted I made this from cement and sand. when I started to making this bonsai I have no video before. But near future video I will try to show how to make this kind of rock or mountain for bonsai and also try to show how you create a beautiful root over rock style bonsai. Making a root over rock bonsai use only hardy plant because tree will grow top of rock or stone not in direct soil. If the tree was not strong enough it will not survive. It is not easy to make this kind of bonsai. if you have experience about making bonsai then you try for root over rock bonsai. It is not very tough when you know the proper rules of making bonsai. That is why I suggest you first try some general style bonsai then you have gather experience then you go for this style.
