⬇️English description below⬇️ 🇩🇪Deutsch: Mit Beginn des Sommerfahrplans beginnt auch wieder der Kurswagenwechsel in Niebüll. In diesem Video gibt der von den beiden Loks 218 341(IC-Lackierung) und 460(Conny, beige/blau) gezogene IC zwei Kurswagen nach Dagebüll ab. Diese werden dann später wieder an einen IC aus Westerland angehängt. Dieser Kurswagenbetrieb ist in Deutschland mittlerweile einmalig! Zum Ablauf: Zuerst fährt der Triebwagen der NEG über den Bahnübergang Gather Landstraße auf das Gleis zum DB Bahnhof. Nach Ankunft des IC ziehen dann die beiden Loks die Kurswagen auf das selbe Gleis wodurch der NEG Triebwagen an diese ankuppeln kann. Danach werden die Kurswagen vom Triebwagen wieder etwas vorgezogen, damit die 218er die Weiche zum DB Netz befahren können um wieder am IC anzukuppeln. Damit die Energieversorgung in den IC Wagen nach Dagebüll gewährleistet ist muss dann noch ein Heizwagen am Zugschluss angehängt werden bevor die NEG nach Dagebüll und der IC nach Westerland abfahren kann. A Kurswagen is a wagon (or in this video two) which run to another direction than the train where it comes from. Therefor it is cuppled together with another train. In this video the Intercity pulled by the two class 218 341(IC-painting) and 460(historic painting) gives away two Kurswagens to Dagebüll. The line from Niebüll to Dagebüll is the only one in Germany where this is done. Process of the shunting: First the multiple unit of the NEG drives over the railroadcrossing Gather Landtraße to the rail from where you can shunt to the DB station. After that the locomotives of the Inter City train pull the two Kurswagen wagons on the same track and the multiple unit of the NEG is able to get coupled together with the IC wagons. Then it goes back a few metres so the Intercity locomotives can drive back to their train. When this is done the NEG train has to be coupled together with a "Heizwagen" (Thats a small wagon with a generator on board). This is needed for the power supply to the intercity cars.
