PLEASE READ before posting any comments. - Yes there is a lot of noise in this video with talking and the rattling of the toys which was exaggerated through the old camcorder mic when recording. The child does not hear these noises as a Cochlear Implant only produces beeps during the switch on (which is why there is a black wire coming from it connected to a computer). After the implant has been switched on and tested the child usually has numerous return visits from which the best "programme" (level of hearing) for the child is established. My little nephew hears for the first time during his Cochlear Implant activation in Belfast, Northern Ireland at only 2 years and 6 months old.
