Bangladesh Mango Festival in the Netherlands

Bangladesh ranks seventh in mango production globally, priding nearly a hundred indigenous varieties of mango. Mango season in Bangladesh generally starts in end-May and ends around early August. Several of the indigenous mango varieties have long been distinct for their aroma, texture and taste. While Bangladesh produces around 2.5 million MT mango a year, Bangladesh mango is yet to be distinguished in stores in the Netherlands whilst European consumers yearn for authentic-quality-tasteful tropical fruits. The distinctive aroma and taste is because of indigenous genetic, sedimentary soil and the deltaic climate. These mangoes come to you as fruits of small-holders' traditional farming. As the Embassy presented these delectable mangoes last years to Dutch friends/dignitaries, many were struck with the aroma and taste. Some even tweeted, labeling Bangladesh mango as "champagne of mangoes".
