Our journey begins at a cozy homestay in Coorg, where we kick off the day with a traditional breakfast of homemade dosas, chutney, and sambhar. We start our Coorg sightseeing with a visit to the serene Omkareshwar Temple, followed by the beautiful Raja’s Seat, a historic viewpoint offering panoramic views of Coorg. After filling up 20 liters of RO water at a vending machine, we make our way to the famous Abbey Falls, which, though not at full flow in March, still offers breathtaking beauty. As we continue on the scenic road trip from Coorg to Ooty, we stop for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, savoring fish curry, rice, and a traditional South Indian thali. The drive takes us through the lush forests of Kerala, where we briefly cross into Wayanad and pick up some forest honey from a Kerala Forest Department shop. After hours of driving through one of the most scenic routes in India, we arrive in Ooty, the "Queen of the Hills," around 8:30 PM. Exhausted but happy, we have a quick dinner and settle in for the night, ready to explore more of this beautiful hill station.
