In 2023 grade separation is in progress at Glenhuntly, Melbourne to eliminate the train/tram level crossing. The 3 train tracks are being lowered to eliminate the situation where trains and trams have to slow to negotiate the crossing, as well as the delays. The twice daily steel train shows how noisy and inconvenient this is as G512 and G521 pass through on 28 Feb 2023. The tram had a 5 minute wait.
