Making Hay | My Storm The Day Trail Race In 2024

My latest attempt at making a film about one of my trail running adventures. Standard disclaimer applies...I am no professional filmmaker, but I love trying to capture the joy and challenge of trail running and sharing what it is like being a fairly normal guy at the back of the pack on these trail endurance events. This was a wonderful event put on by Mandy and Bill Hansel and their Storm Sporting Events organization. It is a timed event, that goes from sunrise to sunset. The course is a 2.5 mile non-technical trail on Prairie Island Park in Winona, MN. You can go as easy or as hard as you like. Go at your own pace, and stop whenever you want. As Mike astutely says in the film, "You versus yourself". A huge thanks to Mandy and Bill Hansel for another amazing event.
