MERCH: https://shop.thatmodelrailwayguy.com After a surprise announcement back in August, Bachmann's brand new and fully retooled Class 47 diesel locomotive is finally on the shelves just in time for Christmas and I couldn't wait to put together a review of this stunning locomotive. Naturally I went all out and got the Sound Fitted Deluxe version of the new Class 47 which comes with working fans and an extra gold film on the windscreen (just like the prototype). Amazing this is only the third diesel locomotive I've reviewed on the channel as I'm normally more interested in steam engines, but even I can appreciate how incredible this loco is. As you can see I went for the Late BR Two Tone Green livery and Bachmann have done a really good job on this and the Class 47 as a whole. The question on everyone's mind though is, will it be a worthy upgrade and is it worth the hefty price tag? Watch the video to find out!
