Amtrak Crescent 19 passes Nickajack in Mableton, GA with newly silenced crossing. *Read Description*

For 11 years, I have been coming to Nickajack to watch the Amtrak crescent. I’ve seen consist changes, the adding and removing of certain cars, and lovely engineers that have sorta watched me grow up and have given me the best horn shows. Norfolk Southern has also been very kind to me letting come here for over a decade. When I realized that the trains passing through here legally cannot blow horns anymore, a certain chapter of my life closed. The acknowledgment that engineers gives to railfans is one of the things that influences us to keep watching trains. The different sounds, the different patterns the engineers gives to us as they pass by. It’s sad to see this chapter of my life go, but I will still be watching the morning Amtrak go by in different locations. I’ve already scouted spots rarely filmed at or have been untouched and can’t wait to keep giving videos that’s shows a bigger landscape than what is found at railroad crossings.
