How to use Alexa Echo as a baby monitor & receive notifications on your phone

Today i'm going to show you how to use your Alexa Echo dot device as a baby monitor and get notified on your phone when your baby cries. To do this open your Amazon Alexa app. Tap on More at the bottom right side of the screen. Then select routines Next tap on the plus icon on the top right side of the screen. Now tap on Enter Routine Name And give it a name, let's say Baby Monitor Tap next. Now tap on When this happens And select "Sound Detection" Now select from the list "Baby Crying" Select your Echo device from the list in my case it's echo dot. Then tap Next. Next tap on Change next to suppress for 5 minutes. Here you can set the start and end time for this routine for example from 9 pm to 5 am. You can also set a suppress time, let's say 1 minute. Now tap next then okay. Next tap on "Add action" Now select notification And enter the notification message you would like to receive on your phone when you baby starts crying. For example Bob is crying. Then tap next then next again. Finally tap save. All done now my echo dot device will monitor my baby from 9 pm to 5 am and will notify me when my baby starts crying.
