Bonjour à tous! Hello, My Friends and Welcome! In February of 1987, in Brunswick County, North Carolina, 23 yr old Beverly Jaye Potter-Mintz was found brutally murdered in her house by her mother. Jaye was trying to sell her waterbed & had an ad in the local paper. The number was for her mother, who had someone call that morning inquiring about the bed. So her mother gave the person the address to go and get the bed. A few hours later her mother went to Jaye’s home to see her. She found the door unlocked and when she went inside she could hear the 2yr old whimpering in the bedroom. She went back to check on the baby and found her daughter murdered on the bed. The 2yr old witnessed the entire attack & murder. Jaye was raped, sexually assaulted, stabbed 8 times, and had her throat slit. Her hands were bound behind her back and a pillowcase was left over her head. The mother grabbed the baby and ran to the flower shop next door to call police. The murderer has never been found.
