津野山神楽 【神楽の由来】 延喜13年（913）藤原経高が津野山郷へ入国し、伊豆の国より三嶋神社を勧請して祀られた頃から代々の神職によって歌い継ぎ、舞継がれたものと伝えられています。昭和20年（1945）の敗戦と神楽修得者の減少により一時存続が危ぶまれた時期がありましたが、同23年（1948）神楽復興の気運が起こり、梼原町津野山神楽保存会が設立。歴代の首長が保存会長をつとめ、平成30年に保存会創立70周年をむかえました。神楽は18節からなり、正式に舞い納めるには約8時間 を要します。急テンポな楽に合わした舞でありながら優美荘重で、雅（みやび）の言葉そのままです。（昭和55年国重要無形民俗文化財指定） 【演目】 「山探し」（やまさがし） 金山彦のお使いの神が、紛失した宝剣を探し歩くところから始まり、のち宝剣を見つけ出し、歓喜するところで舞い終わります。 自面に真っ赤な口、金の眼で般若の面ともいわれる面の一種です。津野山神楽に使用する面のうちで、あらゆる表情に富んでいて、右に出る面はありません。長時間の舞で、その間の動作につれて変化を現わす面の種々相は、いかなる人をも魅了します。 Tsunoyama Kagura Origin of Kagura It is said that the kagura has been sung and danced by priests from generation to generation since 913, when Fujiwara no Noritaka entered Tsunoyama Township and invited Mishima Shrine from Izu Province to be enshrined there. Among the masks used in Tsunoyama Kagura, there is no other mask that comes close to it in terms of expressiveness. The various aspects of the masks, which change with the movements of the performers during the long dances, fascinate everyone.
