The perfect rim lit shot is usually achieved using multiple stripboxes and flashes all carefully positioned around your subject. The results can be amazing but if you only have one light photographer Gavin Hoey has you covered. In this video, Gavin will show you how to use a single light (Flashpoint Evolv400) and a stripbox (Glow 16”x40” Quick Strip Softbox) to take multiple shots of several static glassware items, all lit from various angles. The shoot is only part of the process so once the photos have been taken Gavin walks you through the simple Photoshop steps that will combine multiple images into a fully rim lit finished photo.
