Lee Hi is back with a surprise ballad, we love to see it! She sounds angelic af. Today I'm reacting to Lee Hi's 'ONLY' music video and give my honest thoughts and first impressions on the song and its supposed meaning. This whole music video felt like a short movie. That was so pretty and beautiful. I could really let myself loose and dive into this story, they did a great job of directing and telling this story with this one. Respect to Jay Park as one of the Executive Producers as well. I like how the song began with a focus on Lee Hi's voice, whereas the instrumental and even the video began quite slowly. It was still important to follow the story, but it felt like they really wanted us to appreciate Lee Hi's voice and the song itself first. Progressively throughout the video (or move) it felt like they strayed away from that though and soon enough the video and story became the focus, with Lee Hi quite literally being a background or OST singer for her story. It's beautiful how they transitioned from one to the other throughout. Overall this made me realize how much I liked Lee Hi's voice on ballads and how much I needed a new song from her - something I was initially not expecting to feel today when watching this video, but I did. What a great song and video.
