Camera repair screwdriver selection

A guide to choosing useful screwdrivers for working on old cameras. Here I discuss what screwdrivers I have found to be useful when working on cameras, mostly for working on Kodak Retina cameras of course. The Starrett screwdrivers I generally use are the S555 models, available singly, or as a set of six or seven. The set of six for slotted screws is called S555Z-6, the set of seven with the phillips size 0 as well is called S555Z-7. You should do a Google search and check for prices. You might get a used set on eBay. The smallest size blade at only around 0.5mm is too small and fragile to get any use on cameras I would think. The Moore & Wright screwdrivers are no longer made I think, but worth looking for on the used market. The Eclipse 777 I have seems to be identical to the later Moore & Wright in construction. The current Eclipse 777/2 set consists of one handle and six blades. The driver is blue rather than chrome. Eclipse seem to also have a set called 777/1, six drivers described as having fixed blades (not replaceable). Moody Tools make a set of six that will probably work well enough, Moody Tools, part number 58-0116. I have never seen these myself.
