45 West End stars perform Queen's The Show Must Go On

A total of 45 singers and musicians, in partnership with West End Live Lounge, have brought together a very special online performance of the Queen hit 'The Show Must Go On' in support of the #SaveOurTheatres campaign. The video will also raise awareness for two very important charities- Mind and Acting for Others. Whilst the global pandemic continues to stand in the way of live performances, Live Lounge producer, Shaun McCourt, wanted to shout out a very clear message with this video; "The arts industry is in dire need of government support in such difficult times. As we begin to see lockdown eased across other sectors, the arts are being left behind. For an industry which puts millions of pounds into the economy each year, it is worrying that little is being done to preserve it. There is no song more apt right now than 'The Show Must Go On'" Speaking of the project, he goes on to say; "It is heartbreaking to see the impact this pandemic is having on the arts. Sam Coates (musical director),Will Miney (Music Producer) and I, wanted to put something together to show the unity and solidarity of our theatre industry. As with all Live Lounge projects, it was important to raise awareness for charity, and in this instance that is both Mind and Acting For Others. The two charities are doing such important work during such uncertain times."
