Barellan Clydesdales Gathering of the Teams 2017

The Gathering of the Teams at Barellan, NSW, 29-30 Sept & 1 Oct 2017. This was the largest gathering this century, of 5 separate species of draught animals each working in front of the public over the weekend. Watch the team of 23 draught horses and 36 bullocks in the parade here. Friday saw the teams all converging from different directions, on the central NSW town of Barellan at 11 am, then they headed to the showgrounds for the weekend's events. 2010 was the first such field days, celebrating 'Back to Barellan'' and the locals wanted to make it an annual event, so it now is, and has become a huge show with a popular following, on the long weekend at the beginning of October. Over 7000 people visited and enjoyed the demonstrations, crafts, market stalls, black smithing, farriery, rope making, chaff cutting, harvesting, and of course the very Grand Parade as seen here in the video.
