Today I want to show you three common ways to lace your skates, including a couple that can help relieve pressure on your foot if you have lace bite. Because I skate every day, I prefer the normal way of lacing my skates, going inside and out, but this can create pressure on your foot and create lace bite if you do not skate as often. So the other way to tie your skates is to go Outside and In, bringing that lace from the outside of the skate, to the inside, then tighten it and repeat for the next eyelet. This has been recommended to me from other coaches and players, and it certainly does relive the pressure on your lace bite area, and feels better. The third way to tie your skate, is to create two loops at the top of your skate by tightening them to the 2nd eyelet down, and then going to the top eyelet on the same side, to create a loop (or bunny ear). Do the same to the other side, and then bring the lace across and go through the loop on the other side. Then tighten your laces and tie them as your normally would. This will relieve pressure on your lace bite, and lock in your heels a bit more in your skates. A couple products you can buy to also help, are: Unlimited Motion Lace Bite Protective Gel Sleeve https://www.icewarehouse.com/Unlimite... ELITE HOCKEY LACE BITE GEL PAD https://www.purehockey.com/product/el... If you have any more questions on lace bite and ways to help, comment below or send me a DM and I'll reply back.
