One of the final pieces to the Honda Civic Type R EP3 is this Carbon Bonnet. To go from purchasing to on the car has taken 15 months which was mainly down to a cool storage location. It needed a full re lacquer before getting a layer of PPF Paint Protection Film to save it from future stone chips. This process was to wait for the clear coat to fully cure before getting it protected from stone chips and sun damage with some Paint Protection Film. This will prolong the life of the fresh clear coat for years to come. It also has self healing properties so it won’t show any stone chip damages once heat is applied. Overall, this process has taken 15 months from start to finish but the final result has been worth it. From my understanding, the Buddyclub hood for the EP3 Type R was actually made by Shift Sports and they still offer it brand new today. The difference being that you don’t get the Buddy Club branding with it.
