After trying a number of "laser training target" solutions which, as you've seen, often tend to leave a lot desired... I was pretty happy with how this little Steel Tyme product from LaserLyte seems to work. The only thing I found wanting was the lack of a means to quiet the "gong" sound. (You can turn the sound off outright, but not adjust it.)
