The Green Swamp Wilderness Management Area is next to Dade City, Florida—about 40 miles north of Tampa—is filled with sandy logging roads, foot paths, and one big old railroad cut. It is a fun—but challenging—place to do gravel rides. These films are here to show what to expect when you head up there. This trail is Cedar Pocket filmed here heading south from the Main Line to where it ends at Ranch Road. The whole trail is about 5 miles long. Parts are nice enough, but the northern end has at least 4 very tricky sand patches. In the vid, whenever I am riding down the middle that is because I am trying to avoid getting bogged down in the sugar sand. I am riding 45mm Kenda Flintridge Pros on low pressure--maybe 40 PSI--but the sand is still very hard to navigate. You can see where I walk one stretch were even the grass in the middle had become sand.
