Carly was always heavier growing up, but when her weight reached 300lbs her mental health began to decline. Alongside weight loss surgery, Carly followed a basic keto diet and worked out multiple times a week to lose 140lbs in total. Now she’s lost the weight, Carly has continued to follow a healthy lifestyle to maintain her weight. Despite this success, she told Truly: “I’m the most confident I’ve ever been, but now I have new insecurities because I have loose skin and a whole new body.” To combat this sense of body dysmorphia, Carly says it’s important to learn how to love your body at every stage of your weight loss journey.
