You can also connect with me on FaceBook & Twitter! https://www.facebook.com/smokyribs1?r... / smokyribs Amish White Bread & Herb Compound Butter Ingredients: 2 tablespoons of fresh minced chives 1 tablespoons of fresh minced Thyme 1 tablespoon of fresh minced Sage 1 tablespoon of fresh minced Rosemary ¾ cup of salted butter, cubed and soften 3 tablespoons of Extra Virgin Olive Oil Directions: In a food processor or blender, and in all the minced herbs, and olive oil, and pulse until thoroughly blended. Now transfer the oil and herb mixture into a blender, and add in the soften butter, and whip until well blended together. Place compound butter onto plastic wrap, and roll tightly into a tube, and then place in the refrigerator to chill and ready to use. Bread: Ingredients: 2 cups of warm water (105 degrees F) 2/3 cup of sugar 1 ½ tablespoons of active dry yeast 1 ½ teaspoons of active dry yeast 1 ½ teaspoons of salt ¼ cup vegetable oil 6 cups of bread flour Directions: In a large bowl, dissolve the sugar in warm water, and then stir in yeast. Allow to proof until yeast creates a foam. Mix salt and oil into the yeast. Mix in flour one cup at a time. Knead dough on a lightly floured surface until smooth, or in a mixer. Place on floured cutting board, and shape into a smooth ball. Place in a well oiled bowl, and turn dough to coat. Cover with a damp cloth or foil. Allow to rise until doubled in size, about 1 - 2 hours. Punch dough down. Knead for a few minutes, and divide into fourths. Shape into loaves, and place into well oiled mini loaf pan. Allow to rise for 30 minutes up to 1 hours, or until dough has risen 1 inch above pans. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 - 30 minutes. "Music courtesy of Audio Network"
