The long-awaited Reverb contains six carefully crafted reverb algorithms filling every square centimeter of a compact MXR-size enclosure. The modes on the Reverb range from staples such as Spring, Plate, Mod and Room to types such as Epic and Pad, which are two reverb types you won’t find anywhere else. Epic mode interweaves several analog-sounding delay lines along with some carefully-tuned modulation to lend some full-on space-filling wash to solos and ambient passages. Pad mode is another meticulously engineered patch which combines two octaves, shimmer and subtle modulation for thick swashes of verb that sit tight in the mix. The MXR Reverb’s sterling sound starts with the input jack, as it sends your input signal through a hi-fi all-analog signal path, powered by MXR’s Constant Headroom Technology. This runs the pedal at a constant 20 volts to ensure that the Reverb won’t clip or distort when pushed with a host of dirt and modulation boxes, making it perfect for players running lengthy pedalboards. An expression jack on the side of the Reverb accommodates the Dunlop DVP4 Mini Volume/Expression, and can be used to smoothly switch between two different reverb patches, or blend between them for some next-level reverb routing. And just like all other MXR pedals, the Reverb is manufactured right here in the USA.
