Towing a caravan, what could go wrong? Cape York Part 1/3 - Ep.10

Make sure you check out Part 2 when we finally make it to the tip of australia! ( Cape York with a caravan ) 🌴Daintree to Musgrave Roadhouse⛽️ via Cooktown (Bloomfield & Battlecamp tracks) We finally started our trek up to Cape York!! We met up with our friends Dan & Em in Cairns and headed to the Daintree for our first night stop. Next day we crossed the Daintree river via the ferry and started the trek up to Cooktown, via the infamous Bloomfield Track. Recommended for 4WDS and no caravans. Well it was a little hairy on some of the climbs but we made it! Over the next few days we camped at this beautiful spot by a creek outside Wajul Wajul. Another night camped at the iconic Lions Den Hotel and then finally making it to Cooktown. We arrived on a Friday and was only planning a nights stay, but we quickly found out we had stumbled into the only event Cooktown has each year - the Cooktown festival, celebrating Captain Cook! We scored a spot right in town at a van park (last 2 spots! one for us and Dan&Em). Lots of activities all weekend to keep us entertained and all walking distance from our van park! Score! After a few nights of celebrating and getting into the festive spirit we headed off on the battlecamp track headed for the Cape. We stayed in a few nice spots before seeing civilization again at Musgrave Roadhouse and stocking up with some more fuel to continue the trip north! We aren't in a rush and are trying to detour off the main PDR (peninsula development road) as much as possible!
