Today is all about separating and (hopefully) potting-up five Japanese Maple Air-Layers. I started these at the end of May courtesy of my neighbour and her two beautiful trees. Before this, the biggest air-layer attempt on a maple was about a pencil thickness! From my Short, you will know I have had success on at least one of them.
