*Maggie Breaks her Arm?!* "Stupid With Love" {Mean Girls} 1st Place; Utah State Theatre 2019

After placing 1st in every preliminary round of State Theatre Competition, I entered the medals round with 6 other Musical Theatre competitors. During the final round, my chair slipped out from under me in the middle of my song, causing me to fall and hit my elbow very hard on the stage. After finishing the song on pure adrenaline, driving home in a makeshift sling, and finding out I won 1ST PLACE overall at State, I went to a medical clinic to get X-rayed. Luckily, it doesn't look fractured, but the final call from the radiologist will come in next week. Although it hurts quite a bit, and I spent Prom in the 5 minute clinic, I'm super grateful it wasn't worse and am hopeful for a speedy recovery. I'm also super grateful for amazing friends who took care of me all night and made the best of a hard situation. "The show must go on!!"
