Follow along with Mx. Hall! Content This is a science demonstration for 3rd-5th grade students. It looks at the Life Science domain and incorporates engineering design. The lesson covers the NYS Science standard 3-LS4-2. “Use evidence to construct an explanation for how the variations in characteristics among individuals of the same species may provide advantages in surviving, finding mates, and reproducing.” We will be using the Science and Engineering Practice of Constructing Explanations and Designing Solutions to learn about bird nests. What you need An adult to help you collect materials outside Sticks, twigs, leaves, moss, grass, stems, anything! A sturdy tree or ledge to place the nest What to do Gather your materials.
