In this video, a very comprehensive details of Indus Water Treaty (IWT) 1960 which is also called “Sindh taas muahida” is discussed. This treaty was signed between India and Pakistan in 1960 to solve the water dispute between india and #pakistan.After the Partition Of Subcontinent, both countries Fight In Kashmir to acquire more land. Being an UPSTREAM RIPARIAN India stop water of Pakistan so water conflict started between India and Pakistan. To solve this water conflict, this Indus River System was divided between the two countries through an agreement which is known as Indus Waters Treaty 1960. Three Eastern Rivers Ravi, Sutlej and Bias were given to India and Three Western Rivers Indus, Chenab and Jhelum were given to Pakistan. Both countries has fought three wars 1965 war, 1971 war and 1999 war but this Indus water treaty is still functional. Now India send notice to Pakistan for amendments in this Indus treaty.
