Look kindly on Boudicca's seat, Our mighty Hill, where two rivers meet, Where Edmund fell to his defeat, It's all in the ground beneath our feet. And Thetford people know That you reap just what you sow And beauty will always grow Where you let your love show. On Old Market Street and Nether Row Dad's Army's marching feet echo. Now Mainwaring sits watching us go, And still we all enjoy the show. Our famous son, one Thomas Paine, Citizen of the world became. Astride his horse sits Duleep Singh He loved the town, the town loved him. And first we were with Dr Minns, We can be proud of many things.
