This road, designated as an All-American Road, is by itself a scrinium of amazing and various landscapes. Moreover, the road is the main way to approach many other considerable natural or historic sites, as the Burr Trail, the Hole in the Rock Road, the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, the Kodachrome Basin S.P. and the Bryce Canyon N.P., only to cite the most famous. The UT12, together with the UT24 (from Torrey to Hanksville) and UT95 (from Hanksville to Blanding), represents a continuum of scenic roads which, hands down, is enough to fall in love with this side of Utah.
