Episode 14 Early Spring Walleyes in Peshtigo Show Date: April 6th & 7th, 2019 Location: Bay of Green Bay; Peshtigo, Wisconsin Guide: Brett Jolly [715-581-5678 | captainjollycharters.com] This ice is finally receding on the Bay of Green Bay, and we wanted to get out and see if the walleyes are biting in the river mouths. Captain Brett Jolly admitted that we may be a bit too early, but that caution was unfounded as we did find fish, and some jumbos too. Brett says that this is just a preview of things to come. Since we are pretty early, these fish are very lethargic, and we find that the only thing that works is a jig and minnow. Using a Kalin’s Google Eye jig lure in these fish is the ticket to catching, along with a very slow presentation.
