Advances in Immunotherapy Clinical Trials: Putting Patients First

In this latest CRI cancer immunotherapy webinar for patients and caregivers, Dr. Joshua Brody -- a CRI-funded scientist at The Icahn School of Medicine at Mt. Sinai in New York City -- and a breast cancer patient, Stephanie Gangi, will discuss the value clinical trials can offer patients and how the patient voice has become increasingly important when planning clinical studies. Stephanie has been navigating breast cancer for more than twenty years, and it is a new vaccine approach based on Dr. Brody's CRI-funded work that is keeping her healthy and hopeful for herself and other cancer patients now benefiting from advances in cancer immunotherapy. Funding for our webinar series has been generously provided by Bristol Myers Squibb, with additional funding provided by Alkermes, BioCanRx, and Lilly Oncology. Established in 1953, the Cancer Research Institute (CRI) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to harnessing our immune system’s power to control and potentially cure all cancers. Our mission: Save more lives by fueling the discovery and development of powerful immunotherapies for all types of cancer. To accomplish this, we rely on donor support and collaborative partnerships to fund and carry out the most innovative clinical and laboratory research around the world, support the next generation of the field’s leaders, and serve as the trusted source of information on immunotherapy for cancer patients and their caregivers. https://www.cancerresearch.org Cancer Research Institute is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit under EIN 13-1837442.
