Visited Cat Cat Village in Sapa with Dinh the super friendly H'mong guide and I had a truly memorable time especially with Dinh's guidance and local insights. The visit started with Dinh arriving early at my hotel to meet up with me. We left the hotel and Dinh suggested we walked to Cat Cat Village and once we are done, grab a bike back to the hotel and that turned out to be the best decision as the walk down hill towards Cat Cat Village entrance was not only breathtaking but I truly enjoyed our conversation along the way. Cat Cat Village itself was although touristy, she provided me with a glimpse of H'mong tribe life with their rich culture and unique heritage. Once thing I regret was not taking time to sample some of their food on offer along the way which was my fault since I wanted to get to the iconic waterfall and water wheels area. This visit was made very memorable not only for the natural beauty of Cat Cat Village but also Dinh for her bubbly personality and warm heart to share the best of the H'mong people and her personal story with me.
