The difference between Fraxel restore and Clear + Brilliant laser is that Fraxel Restore is a stronger treatment with a bit more downtime vs Clear + Brilliant which had no downtime at all. I like to tell my patients that 3-4 treatments with Clear + Brilliant equals one treatment with Fraxel Restore with regard to the results. So for people who cannot take time off work or need a quick treatment without any redness or downtime Clear + Brilliant is the way to go. There is no redness swelling or downtime with Clear + Brilliant. Fraxel Restore on the other hand has 1 week of redness and swelling. We call is a "laser facial". After fellowship, I was appointed the Director of Dermatologic Surgery at the Laser & Skin Surgery Center of Northern California where I remained active in clinical trials and have been on the forefront of the latest advances in aesthetics and dermatology. As an Orange County native, I love the SoCal community and currently enjoy being a Dermatologist in Newport Beach, CA. My areas of expertise include cosmetic dermatology with a focus on injectable neuromodulators (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin), as well as dermal fillers (Juvederm, Voluma, Volbella, Vollure, Sculptra, Restylane, Belotero, and Radiesse).
