Minimal Gear Rain Overnighter | Bushcraft Burgers | Canvas Chairs | Mylar Tarp & Long Fire Shelter

With a minimal kit that fits in your hand and includes a hand chain saw, folding knife, military grade mylar tarp, Dyneema cordage and firesteel my Buddy Jens (Channel: The Forest & Me) and me head out into the woods. Fauna and flora feel that spring is coming. We cross a lake, creeks, mossy lands and find a wonderful site to raise camp. Using only the minimal kit, we saw wood for the fire and the shelter, build lean-to shelters with reflective mylar tarps and make fire with the folding knife and the firesteel. Next we build bushcraft chairs with canvas bags, posts and cordage. We fry fresh potato fries in oil, heated over the fire and make Bushcraft Burgers on the fire. As the night falls we enjoy the silence and get surprised by rain. Despite the winds and the rain we are well protected by the simple mylar tarp shelters and almost feel too warm with the long fire, despite the fact that it has temperatures around freezing. The next mornign we get up, start a fire with tinder fungus and the firesteel. we make breakfast burritos and coffee and break camp.
