Number 14 in my list of tributes to the world's best lead guitarists is Eric Clapton when he was with Cream and his live version of Robert Johnson's Crossroads or as Robert Johnson called it 'Crossroads Blues'. It was Eric's two amazing solos on that track on Cream's Wheels of Fire album that got me into playing lead guitar in the first place. Eric was really flying on those solos. As always, I play my own version, but it's near enough to the original for people to recognise it I think. Eric was real trail blazer.
