Sweden's Military Aid to Ukraine

►Support for Ukraine by country👉    • Military Support for Ukraine by Country   Explore Sweden's military support for Ukraine in detail. This video presents a thorough analysis of the military equipment provided, including land and air assets, as well as air defense systems. Watch as we break down the numbers and discuss the impact of this aid on the ongoing conflict. 🔹Ground Equipment: The Leopard 2 is a third generation German main battle tank (MBT). Developed by Krauss-Maffei. The tank entered service in 1979. There are two main development tranches of the Leopard 2. The first encompasses tanks produced up to the Leopard 2A4 standard and are characterised by their vertically faced turret armour. The second tranche, from Leopard 2A5 onwards, has an angled, arrow-shaped, turret appliqué armour. The CV9040 is a Swedish infantry fighting vehicle (IFV) developed by BAE Systems Hägglunds. Part of the CV90 family, it is designed for providing fire support and transporting infantry in combat scenarios. The "40" in its designation refers to the 40mm Bofors L/70 autocannon that serves as its primary armament, capable of engaging both ground and air targets. The CV9040 is equipped with advanced armor protection, capable of withstanding various threats, including small arms fire and artillery shell splinters. The PBV 302 (Pansarbandvagn 302) is a Swedish armored personnel carrier (APC) that was developed by Hägglunds in the 1960s. It was designed to replace the earlier KP-bil and to improve the mobility and protection of infantry units. The vehicle is built on a tracked chassis, giving it excellent off-road capability. The PBV 302 is armed with a 20mm automatic cannon, which provides effective fire support against both infantry and light armored vehicles. The Archer Artillery System is a modern self-propelled howitzer developed by Bofors (now part of BAE Systems) for the Swedish Army. The system is based on a modified Volvo A30D 6x6 articulated hauler chassis, providing high mobility in challenging terrains. The primary armament of the Archer is a fully automated 155mm/L52 howitzer, capable of firing precision-guided and conventional artillery shells with a range of up to 50 km using advanced munitions. The system is designed to deliver rapid, accurate, and sustained fire support. 🔹Air Support and Anti-Air Defense: The MIM-23 Hawk is a medium-range surface-to-air missile (SAM) system developed by the U.S. defense contractor Raytheon. Originally introduced in the 1960s, the Hawk (Homing All the Way Killer) was designed to provide air defense against aircraft and later upgraded to counter tactical ballistic missiles and drones. The system is highly mobile, with components that can be transported by trucks or airlifted, making it suitable for both fixed and mobile defense operations. The ASC 890 is a Swedish airborne early warning and control (AEW&C) aircraft, based on the Saab 340 airframe and operated by the Swedish Air Force. The ASC 890 is designed to provide comprehensive air surveillance, command and control, and battle management capabilities. The aircraft is equipped with an advanced Erieye radar system, a side-looking airborne radar mounted in a dorsal fairing on the fuselage, capable of detecting and tracking a wide range of aerial targets. The Erieye radar system used by the ASC 890 operates in the S-band and offers 360-degree coverage with a range of up to 450 km, depending on the altitude and target size.
