Using the limited means of a musical toolset that sounds like it came straight out of a NES, composer Jake Kaufman builds an energetic, catchy and deliciously rhythmical soundtrack. High Above The Land is the track from Propeller Knight’s stage, The Flying Machine, and has a strong DuckTales vibe. It’s accompanied by approximately a gazillion background motifs and interlocking rhythms, which has made arranging it for two hands (while trying to keep it accessible to pianists of moderate skill) a challenge. After a lot of transcribing, translating, moving lines between hands, scrapping and simplifying this is the result. Recommended playing speed is 140 BPM, although a lower BPM of 135 works nicely as well. The track's original speed is 150 BPM though, which is blazingly fast especially for the left hand!
