SRAM NX Eagle | Initial Ride & Review

When SRAM introduced the first 1x12 drivetrain back in 2016, it completely revolutionized the mountain bike industry. Originally available in XX1 and X01, and more recently GX, SRAM dominated the market with its multiple drivetrain options and set the standard for others to follow. Although Eagle converted many 2x10 and 1x11 riders, the XD freehub and high price point still kept some from making the switch. Now, with the introduction of NX Eagle, SRAM hopes to solve this dilemma and make 2x/3x drivetrains a thing of the past. Priced at $375 for the complete groupset, not only is it affordable, but it no longer requires the use of a proprietary XD freehub.
