MetaGate G-01 Haiku Transformation Sequence

Purchased from ShowZStore: https://showzstore.com Get yours!: https://showzstore.com/metagate-haiku... Figure Note: Stop-Motion Transformation of MetaGate G-01 Haiku. Amazing figure. Crazy it has a third mode. I put this right up there with DX9 La Hire or Transcraft Beetle. I love how it folds up the car surfaces - such a complete transformation. I really enjoy all the little asymmetries it has. The helicopter mode is a bit janky, but it actually kind of was a bit janky the one time we saw it in the movie, so it kind of works. You’ll note that I slide the shoulders back and forth twice to make clearance. The slide was quite tight for me as delivered, so I lubricated it with some silicone oil I got at an auto parts store. I couldn’t find one of those precision dispenser packages so I bought a large spray can of the stuff and used a Qtip to apply it. Slides great now. Support Note: Like what you see? Send me a tip! https://paypal.me/peolesdru Car to Robot: 0:09 Robot to Helicopter: 1:24 Helicopter to Robot: 2:17 Robot to Car: 3:09 Speed run Car to Robot: 4:23 Speed run Robot to Helicopter: 4:46 Speed run Helicopter to Robot: 5:02 Speed run Robot to Car: 5:19 2x Run: 5:41 End credits: 6:20 Production Note: So I shot this from car to robot and then from helicopter to robot and stitched it together accordingly. I actually did a full robot turnaround when I did car to robot and then realized I had forgotten to unfold his head crest. So when I did helicopter to robot, I just included another turnaround with the head set properly and that’s the turnaround you see in the video. Also I got this Friday afternoon, so I only had a day and a half to learn it. Viewing Note: If you want to follow along, I recommend skipping to the speed run and using your , and . keyboard keys to advance by single frames. Every step of the transformation is documented in the frames of the video, in what I consider to be the best sequence. With minimal rubbing and minimal parts-parking. Music: The music is by Ethan Meixsell - www.ethanmeixsell.com Songs: “Demilitarized Zone”, “Sea of Sand”, “Start Your Engines” and “Run”
