Saltwater Wade Fishing with BERKLEY GULP SWIMMING MULLET for Summer Flounder & FLUKE

Saltwater Wade Fishing with BERKLEY GULP SWIMMING MULLET for Summer Flounder & FLUKE. Saltwater wade fishing for fluke with Berkley GULP baits is just plain fun, easy and effective. I have not used GULP! in a few years and I just wanted to revisit this magical bait. It did not let me down on the summer flounder. The results were pretty much as expected. Fast fun fishing. I like to Carolina rig the 4" Gulp Swimming mullet. Today I used a 1 ounce egg sinker with 18" of 30 pound mono to a 2/0 Gamakatsu Octopus bait hook. When I get into it I actually prefer a plain 2/0 round bend freshwater worm hook. You can adjust your weight to current pending on the drift you want. You really can not use too much weight because on the Carolina rig the Gulp bait will look like its fighting current even when your not drifting. The presentation is that of a vulnerable white thingy lost in the water. Some final notes and things to keep in mind when using and rigging Berkley Gulp bait for fluke such as this. You can and will catch larger fish on Gulp. However, GULP will attract and you will catch many more smaller fish. Smaller summer flounder will find and grab your Gulp bait before a larger trophy sized fish has the chance. That's time taken away fishing for a better fluke. HOWEVER. If you want fun, good fishing and numbers this is the way to go. I remember years back using 4" Berkley Powerbait Grubs, the year BG - Before GULP, and I thought those were superior to plain twister tail grubs! Fish love them! Have fun out there and we are always happy to share our experiences with all those around the world and hope you enjoyed the video as much as we did making it and remember always - Fish Your Way!
