Chevrolet Cruze - HOW TO RECHARGE A/C by Yourself

Tutorial video on refilling / recharging A/C Air Conditioning on Chevy Cruze sedan. This is something you can do by yourself in case you are on a budget and can't afford to take the vehicle to a mechanical shop. Support the channel and get extra perks as a Channel Member:    / @quitealright   I am recording this on a first generation of Chevy Cruze. Process will be the same on newer models as well, only difference will be the location of a low pressure charging port. First you will have to purchase a/c recharge kit which consists of ac recharge hose with gauge and usually two a/c refrigerant cans. Connect one side of the hose to the a/c low pressure port and attach the refrigerant can to the other side. Pierce the can by turning the knob on top of the can and start the engine. Turn A/C on, set fan speed to the highest setting and turn cabin air circulation on. Now proceed outside and slowly start turning the knob on top of the can counter clockwise as shown in the video. Keep monitoring the gauge as you don't want to overcharge the a/c system. That could cause damage to the a/c compressor. Once you are done and happy with the results disconnect everything. This will work in case there is no leaks in the a/c lines and a/c compressor is working. In case of problems you will have to take the vehicle to the shop for the proper diagnostics. If there is a small leak in the a/c lines you can try using a/c sealant. Thanks for watching.
