I ran into several issues as I aligned my crank and cam gear that I solved. First, the old shim was causing problems with getting a consistent height on the crank side. Second, you need to hold the crank gear down firmly to get an accurate reading, and we explore how that can be done. Third, there are some dimensional differences in the adjustable crank gear that need to be compensated for if you choose that route. I compare the dimensions of the OEM, The Roadster Factory, and the Adjustable cam gear that BPNW sells, and show how it impacts alignment.
