This song was penned by Steve Makaba & popular on their live gigs in Nadi around 2007. It used to be my favourite number whenever Steve jammed with Fiji Fusion. Somehow the song never took off after Steve recorded & released it, but it was one of those songs that stuck with me. In September I found a old hard drive & in it was a live recording of Steve & Fiji Fusion jamming Kusa mai. Listening to it & than passing it around to some friends. we realised that this song had to be heard. It was to good a song to be left unknown. So i got in touch with Steve & he said go for it.I took it to Phil Dakei of NOP Music & we brainstormed it. Than I brought in the 2 Raiwaqa dynomites, T&T...thats Tux & Tiga, and we laid the tracks & worked on it with 10 $10 bags of Bua grog. Than we got Rosi Sagaitu in to lay the female backing vocals, than left it to Fil to do his magic. Video was shot by Leca vunibobo at the Tailevu coast on the road to Kaba.
